New Zealand's livestock industry operates under the Animal Products Act 1999 and MPI regulations that prohibit the use of growth hormones and require substantial pasture access. A weekly purchase of 300g of grass-fed beef liver from a quality butcher delivers more nutrition for significantly less money.
