Jake Reynolds
Certified Sports Nutritionist · Fitness Coach · Supplement Researcher

I've spent the last 10 years in the fitness industry — first as a personal trainer, then as a sports nutritionist, and now as an independent supplement reviewer. I started FitLabReviews because I was tired of review sites that ranked products based on who paid the most for placement.

Every review on this site is based on ingredient quality, dosing accuracy, third-party testing, and real-world results — not affiliate commissions. I do earn affiliate income from links on this site, but it never influences the scores.

Honest Reviews in an Industry Full of Hype

The supplement industry generates over $150 billion annually — and most of that is fueled by marketing, not science. Prop blends hide underdosed ingredients. Flashy ads make ordinary products sound revolutionary. Review sites rank products based on affiliate payout, not efficacy.

FitLabReviews exists to cut through that noise. My goal is simple: help you make better purchasing decisions with your health and money.

When I recommend a product, I do so because I believe it genuinely delivers on its claims — not because the brand is paying me a high commission rate. When a product doesn't live up to the hype, I say that clearly, even if it costs me revenue.

Core Values

🔬
Science First
Every claim we make is backed by peer-reviewed research. We link to the studies we reference so you can verify for yourself.
🚫
No Paid Reviews
Brands cannot pay for positive coverage. Products that perform well get recommended — regardless of affiliate commission rates.
💡
Full Transparency
We clearly disclose all affiliate relationships, methodology, and potential conflicts of interest on every page.
🔄
Always Updated
Formulas change. New research emerges. We revisit and update all major reviews every 6–12 months.

Our Methodology

Every supplement goes through a structured 5-step review process before a score is assigned.

1
Ingredient Analysis

We analyze every ingredient against current peer-reviewed literature, checking for evidence of efficacy, bioavailability, and safety at the doses used.

2
Dosing Accuracy Check

We compare serving sizes and dosages against the clinically effective doses established in research. Underdosed "fairy dust" ingredients are flagged and penalized.

3
Label Transparency Audit

Proprietary blends lose points. Products with full label disclosure — every ingredient, every dose — are scored higher. We also check for third-party testing certifications (NSF, Informed Sport, etc.).

4
Real-World Testing

Where possible, we test the product personally or gather feedback from verified users. Taste, mixability, and actual performance over 4–8 weeks are factored into the score.

5
Value Assessment

We calculate the cost per effective dose and compare it to alternatives. A great formula that costs 3x its competitors will have points deducted from its final score.

⚠️ Affiliate Disclosure

FitLabReviews.com participates in affiliate marketing programs including Clickbank, MaxWeb, and GuruMedia. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This income helps keep the site running and allows us to continue producing independent reviews. Affiliate relationships never influence our scores or recommendations — a product recommended here is recommended because it is genuinely good, not because it pays a high commission.
